A Christmas tradition ain’t complete without the yearly treats we prepare. Most American household families love the good ol’ sweets on the Christmas table. Examples of the treats are pudding, yule log, fruitcakes, and cookies. Having these things mentioned, our goal is to help you prepare an easy and fun recipe to make with your family.
Our goal today is to share a melt in your mouth merry lemon Christmas cookies. This recipe is moist and very sweet.
- ⅓ cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- ⅔ cup Ioway Bee Farm honey
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- 2 ¾ cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Step 1
First things first. Mix sugar, egg, honey, and lemon in a medium bowl with a mixer. Sift together and stir in flour, soda, and salt. Chill dough for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Step 3
Roll out 1/4 inch dough and cut shapes using flour to roll and cut. Place this on a greased cookie sheet. Baking time should be around 8-10 minutes.
- Make sure not to let cookies reach brown. Follow the recipe by adding an icing with a butter cream icing.
